Child Sex Abuse Cases: Pretrial Strategies and Proceeding to Trial Credits: 2.0 G |
Child sexual abuse cases are some of the most difficult, emotional, and time consuming cases to prosecute. These incredibly complex cases are important to the community and often require specialized knowledge. This CLE will train attorneys in the techniques required to bring child sexual abuse cases to trial while taking a victim centered approach.
Specific topics to be discussed include: Disclosures of child sex abuse, investigations , charging, protective orders, pretrial motions, trial preparation, voir dire, building the State's case, and jury instructions.
