Join us for an essential discussion on well-being within the legal profession! With combined insights by our two speakers, they will seek to continue the conversation on substance use and mental health within our profession and explore pathways to acknowledge them as an individual and as a community.
This candid conversation aims to embrace the reality surrounding these challenges, offering a space for reflection, understanding, and actionable strategies. Our speakers will delve into the underlying factors surrounding these issues, the impact on professional and personal lives, and discuss ways to seek support.

Speakers:

Matthew Tandy, LPCC, LADAC

Matthew has been working in the field of substance abuse and mental health for the past 32 years. He has worked in residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient clinic settings. He has been operating his own private practice since 2010.

Tenessa Eakins, NM LAP Case Manager

Tenessa is the Case Manager of the State Bar of New Mexico Lawyer Assistance Program, overseeing a helpline and managing the NM LAP monitoring program. With a background as an EMT-B for San Diego's 911 services, she brings valuable experience to her role. Tenessa is dedicated to promoting positive health and well-being within the legal community through educational initiatives.
